Biography

Kasyap Varanasi (కాశ్యప్ వారణాసి) is a first-year MS CS candidate at UMass Amherst-CICS, advised by Prof. K.S. Jagannatha Rao. Previously, he worked with Prof. Rahul G. Krishnan and Prof. Samaneh Mazaheri at University of Toronto and Ontario Tech University. His research goal covers the whole pipeline of ML for healthcare: (1) evaluating robustness of DL models for Neurological disorders, (2) working on using the long-axis view from cardiac MRI sequences to detect mitral valve regurgitation, and (3) developing multitask learning techniques. Family name: వారణాసి(Varanasi) means Holy Place in India (people believe its the origin city of civilization).

Given name: కాశ్యప్(Kasyap) means revered Vedic sage of Hinduism.
